“Passionate Service”

Philippians 1:12-21

1. Passion- Enthusiasm, Strong love or affection, The object of strong desire or fondness.
2. Paul had been a man who was passionate about the law.
3. Paul was brought face to face with his sinfulness, and experienced transformation.
4. Paul became a passionate follower of Christ.

1. Those that have a passion for Christ will share

      no matter what the circumstances.v. 12-13 

1. Paul was in very difficult circumstances.

Philippians 4:11- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

B. Paul shared his passion with those that would be his enemies.

C. Paul’s example encouraged others to stand faithfully.

2. Those that have a passion for Christ are not

    worried about competition.v. 16-18 

1. Paul’s passion was for the Truth.
2. Paul’s passion was that Christ would be glorified.
3. Paul’s passion was that other’s would experience what he had.

Romans 10:1- Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

3. Those that have a passion for Christ rest in Him.v. 20-21 

1. Paul believed in the prayers of the Saints.
2. Paul knew that God was with him by the Holy Spirit.
3. Paul was excited by the prospect of seeing Christ face to face.
